Alabama Beach Rep Named to ACAE Board

GULF SHORES and ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – Representation of Alabama’s pristine 32 miles of sugar white sand continues as Mary Statkewicz, sales manager of the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), was named to the board of directors for the Alabama Council of Association Executives during the group’s annual meeting that was held October 13th through 16th in Biloxi, Miss. She will serve as an associate board member until her term expires in 2012.
“The Alabama Association market is so very important to meetings and conventions held in beach locations and Mary’s relationship with the meeting professionals from the state has helped to keep many Alabama meetings in Alabama,” said Beth Gendler, director of sales for the CVB. “I believe this appointment shows what great relationships she has developed over the years, and we are very proud to have her represented on the board of ACAE.”
