10 Things to Add to Your Beach Bucket List
When you’re ready to make the annual trek to Alabama’s beaches for vacation, start writing your beach bucket list.
Oftentimes, people stay in the same place, eat at the same restaurants and do the same activities. This year, why not break out of the mold and add an activity you haven’t experienced before? Use our beach bucket list for inspiration.
1.) How about a beach concert? Discover several opportunities for concerts in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, from The Wharf Amphitheater to the annual Hangout Music Festival on the public beaches of Gulf Shores.
2.) Rustic camping is a great experience - and the facilities at Gulf State Park are ideal. With modern bathhouses, spacious pads and lots of amenities - including a pool, bike trails and tennis courts - you’ll wonder why you haven’t done this before.
3.) Take surfing lessons! The talented team at Perdido Beach Services offers exciting group surf lessons the whole family will love.
4.) Along the same lines, try the newest beach craze of standup paddleboards (SUP). Rent a board and enjoy an afternoon of fun on the water.
5.) The beach is perfect for picnicking. Pick up some sandwiches and ice-cold fruit and head to Orange Beach Waterfront Park. Open year-round, this family-friendly park is located by beautiful Wolf Bay and offers a 400-foot fishing pier with covered pavilions, picnic shelters with grills, restrooms, a paved walking path and parking. Let the kids play and relax.
