What You Need to Know about the 2017 World Food Championships Schedule

World Food Championships ScheduleMore than 1,200 chefs and home cooks are set to converge on the Alabama Gulf Coast during Nov. 8-12 for the biggest event in food sport history. The 2017 World Food Championships will take center stage at The Wharf in Orange Beach. Over the course of several days, contestants will vie for $300,000 in cash prizes and the ultimate bragging rights. How can you be a part of the action? You’ve got options. Also note: Not all events during the World Food Championships are free. Events requiring advance ticketing are indicated below.

General admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $100. This fundraiser will benefit local charities. Attendees will enjoy bourbon whiskey samples, premium pork from Compart Duroc, recipes from esteemed food champs and an overall entertaining event in high style. VIP ticket holders may arrive one hour early and receive a customized bottle of bourbon.

Tour the world through food, all while staying in Orange Beach. Chef David Skinner of Eculent will offer iconic dishes. Each dish will be presented and enjoyed in a unique and whimsical manner. Tickets can be purchased online for $150 each. 

The Wharf Marina

4-6 p.m.: The Yacht Club $100,000 Dinner Party
Experience a culinary voyage with five taste bud destinations. Join food champs for the inaugural Yacht Club Dinner Party, a progressive eating adventure featuring five yachts, five food champs and five award-winning dishes that have won more than $100,000 in World Food Championships prize money. Tickets are $295 and can be purchased online.
