2019 Flora-Bama Annual Super Chili Bowl Cook Off - February 2, 10am-5pm. Tickets: $20/person, includes one free beer and unlimited chili. On Super Bowl Saturday, teams of three compete for the title of the best chili ever and will even dress up in their team colors to show team spirit. If you don't want to cook, you can sample the wide variety of chilis. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.

Welcome Centers’ Free Winter Lecture Series - Weekdays from Monday, January 14 to Thursday, February 28 (times vary) at the Welcome Centers in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Learn from local artisans, nature tourism specialists, historians and others who are devoted to the area.

The New York Tenors presented by Small Town, Big Beach Productions - February 4-5, 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $35 at Erie Meyer Civic Center. Experience the memorable music, moments and magic of the Big Apple, as the vocal artistry of Andy Cooney, Daniel Rodriguez and Christopher Macchio take you on an entertaining journey through New York, New York.

Adult Culinary Classes: Caribbean Cuisine - February 5, 4pm-7pm. Admission: $35 at Coastal Alabama Community College, Gulf Shores Campus. Join Instructor Matthew Palamar and explore the flavors and culture of the Caribbean.

27th Annual Alabama Lifestyles EXPO - February 7, 8:00am-2:00pm. More than 70 exhibitors will provide information about quality of life programs for people over 50. Enjoy food samples from restaurants, hands-on-exhibits, free giveaways and learn about things to do and see and places to visit in the area. Free admission and free parking.

Customer Appreciation Night at Flora-Bama - February 10th and every second Sunday of the month in 2019 from 4pm-6pm. Free admission includes one drink, free food while supplies last and 25 percent off in the gift shop.

One Night in Memphis presented by Small Town, Big Beach Productions - February 11-12, 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $35 at Erie Meyer Civic Center. Experience over 90 minutes of rockabilly, country, gospel, and rock and roll in a tribute to legendary Sun Records recording artists Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.

2019 Sweetheart 5K, Sea Turtle Half Marathon and Sweetheart 1 Mile Fun Run - February 16, 7am-12pm. The 2019 Sweetheart 5K and Sea Turtle Half Marathon is a challenging event for racers at all levels. Runners and walkers of all ages can enjoy the area’s natural beauty along the Sweetheart 5K route. If you prefer a shorter race, check out the Sweetheart 1 mile run. To really test your endurance, the Sea Turtle Half Marathon is the race for you.

LuLu's 11th Annual Tropical Re-union Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony - February 9, 2pm. Celebrate your love and commitment, and enjoy the festivities with a complimentary champagne toast, complimentary wedding cake, flowers for the "brides,” certificates of re-union and some great music to make the day perfect.

Four Fabulous Funnymen presented by Small Town, Big Beach Productions - February 18-19, 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $35 at Erie Meyer Civic Center. Enjoy a night of laughter as four top comedians perform: Tony Award-winning ventriloquist Jay Johnson, Las Vegas entertainer of the year Pete Barbutti, America’s Got Talent finalist John Wing, and Mark Schiff who is currently on tour with Jerry Seinfeld.

27th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival & Car Show - February 23, 10am-4pm. The festival is a full day of delicious food, 95 arts and crafts vendors, and music for the whole family. It also includes a car show featuring antique, classic and hot rod vehicles, and a kid’s zone with entertainment and activities.

Adult Culinary Classes: Cajun or Creole? - February 28, 4pm-7pm. Admission: $40 at Coastal Alabama Community College, Gulf Shores Campus. Join Instructor Matthew Palamar and roll into Mardi Gras with a look at the diverse cuisine of the New Orleans area.
