As part of the 2021 Winter Lecture Series presented by Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, please join us at The Port at The Wharf for this lecture by Coletta Bailey, representing the Baldwin County Heritage Museum (BCHM). She will discuss the cotton bags origin from the late 1840s to their impact on Americans during the Great Depression.

The PowerPoint presentation includes samples of feed sack fabric (Chicken Linen) with articles of clothing from the 30s. Bailey has represented the Baldwin County Heritage Museum for the past ten years speaking to groups on the farm fabric - feed sacks.
