Join us on Monday, February 25 at 10am as Coletta Bailey from Baldwin County Heritage Museum discusses the cotton sacks role during the great depression. The rural families had been sewing with feed sacks during the 1920's, but now women across the economic sprectrum were sewing with farm fabric. Women traded or sold their empty sacks along with starting their own business by designing sewing and quilting patterns.
