Art in the Park: Thinking Outside the Box
From: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
This series of four classes will help those without significant experience in art to learn basic techniques applicable to a variety of mediums. By finding creative uses for small found or repurposed everyday objectstextiles, pottery, paper, metal, cups, plates, bottles and moreunique color and design can be incorporated into original artistic creations. Our instructor will guide students in the processes by which uses for items are identified and sketches of concepts are made with an emphasis on fundamentals of color, line, texture, and dimension.
This program will be led by accomplished local artist Nancy Milford. Nancy is an experienced art instructor who has taught several art classes at the park and participated in several regional art exhibitions.
