Tradewinds 403 May 2026
We liked the location of this unit and the size of the complex. The unit was small, but plenty big for my husband and myself. It's not updated, but this doesn't bother us as long as everything works and it's not too far outdated and clean. It does need a little maintenance with some painting and there are some broken/cracked floor tiles. We had a few issues with both the washer and dryer while there (stacked units), the coffee pot, and the front door, but the rental company responded and had someone come out and check these things and at least resolved things while we were there. I believe the washer/dryer combo probably needs replacing. Gulf Shores Rentals should add in their instructions for accessing the room, that when you leave you need to hit the Lock button after closing the door. Gulf Shores Rentals was very quick to respond to texts regarding these issues and sent someone to take care of everything quickly! The view from the unit is great! The pool area was nice and good size. I personally missed not having a gym, especially since we had one full day of rain, but that's not a big deal. I would stay at Tradewinds again, but not in this unit. The bedroom is on the back side of unit (not beach side) and the bedroom window is directly across from the elevators. So we heard people talking, laughing, kids screaming, etc. up until about 12am and then starting around 6:30 am next day. They weren't constantly loud, but still annoying. My main issue with this room location next to the elevators was the "ding" the elevators make every time they stop on the floor or even pass by the floor (4th). Ding, ding, ding, ding very frequently. We bought earplugs the 2nd night. I'm not a sound sleeper so some people might not have a problem with this. We did enjoy our stay and liked the condos and the staff with Gulf Shores Rentals were very friendly and helpful!
