Get some fitness in this Thanksgiving holiday by participating in the Coastal Half Marathon on Saturday, November 23. 2023 marks the 16th year of this holiday race. Runners from all over visit our beaches on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to work off those calories from Thursday. The race includes a half marathon, 5K and 1-mile fun run, so there’s a distance for everyone.

Participants will travel through the paved Backcountry Trail and enjoy the beauty of Gulf State Park. Afterward, a post-race party is held for runners and their families to celebrate their victory.
Running can be a challenge under any condition, but thankfully, the gorgeous winding scenery of Alabama's beaches provides an ideal setting for your new race journey.
