Great Views And Location
We were incredibly happy with the location and views from the condo. The beach is just steps away. The views from the balcony are absolutely beautiful. The beach wasn’t crowded at all. The pool was a short walk from the condo and was relaxing and perfect. There are a couple of restaurants and convenience stores close. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. Fort Morgan is close and it is fun to explore. Since you are on the peninsula, the town is about a 15 minute drive, which wasn’t bad at all. There are a lot of restaurant options and activities in town.
There were a few minor issues.
When we arrived, we were given keys to another condo. We were lucky that one set actually fit our condo, because the office was closed.
The condo was not as clean as you would expect. There were finger prints on the windows, hair in the bathrooms, and some dirt in the corners. There were no cleaning supplies provided. It was also a little beat up, with pealing paint and dings in the walls.
Our downstairs neighbors chain smoked on their balcony. We really couldn’t enjoy the balcony without smelling like an ashtray. We also had a small child, so we were concerned about the second hand smoke. It was so bad, but after reading the rules, we realized that the condos themselves are smoke free, but there are no rules around smoking on the balcony.
There were other things that I wish I had known before we showed up, so I could have been prepared.
There are NO BLANKETS!! Seriously, the master bedroom has a set of sheets, and a bedspread that has the thickness of a sheet. The bunk bed room has some light knitted throws that I wouldn’t classify as blankets.
There are very few necessities available. 3 rolls of toilet paper (one per bathroom), one roll of paper towels, one dishwasher pod, no cleaning supplies, no coffee filters, etc... so bring your own!
