Calling all anglers! The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Labor Day Invitational is happening from September 1-5 at the Orange Beach Marina. In the mood to try something new? Check out Civil Axe Throwing at The Wharf as this exciting spot offers tons of fun. Let loose and try your hand at hatchet throwing. Channel Your Inner Cowboy
If you’re looking for a heart-racing, adrenaline-pumping event, head over to Flora-Bama for their annual Bulls on the Beach from September 8-10. This bull riding event brings in professional bull riders from all over the country to compete at this rodeo. The fun starts every evening at 8 p.m. and the gates open at 6 p.m.
Paddle Our Waterways
You can’t visit the Alabama Gulf Coast without traveling through the water. Kayaking and paddleboarding are the perfect activities for relaxing and exploring the natural beauty of the area. This September marks the 15th annual Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon. Hosted by Brett/Robinson Vacation Rentals, this triathlon occurs every year on the Saturday after Labor Day. On September 8, racers will compete on the beach starting at The Hangout. This trace includes a swim in the Gulf, a flat bike ride and breezy run. Bird Fest
Bring your binoculars to the coast for the 2022 Annual John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest happening September 28-October 1. This five-day event highlights great bird-and nature-watching spots throughout Baldwin and Mobile counties. You’ll have the opportunity to discover various native species of birds as well as other local wildlife such as alligators, dolphins, turtles and other creatures. Five Rivers Delta Center is also offering multiple workshops throughout the event.
