Knife Making Experience

In this 3½–4 hour hands-on class, each participant will craft their very own knife from start to finish!

What You’ll Do:

• Work with a high-quality piece of high-carbon steel
• Heat treat your blade
• Apply beautiful wood scales to the handle
• Finish your knife with the instructor’s help for grinding and final sharpening

This class provides a fantastic introduction to one of the most popular stock-removal knife-making processes used by professional knife makers. While you’ll actively participate at every step, the instructor will assist and finish the blade so it’s ready to use.

Note: Depending on the total number of participants, it may take up to an hour to finish the blades. During this time, you’re welcome to explore nearby restaurants for lunch or a snack, then return to pick up your finished blade.

This class is a fantastic foundational class that can segue into other classes that we offer.

• A signed liability waiver is required to participate. Waivers will be provided and signed at the start of class. A preliminary copy is available under the FAQ section on our website.
