Thanksgiving weekend half marathon on Alabama's beaches

The holidays are a time to be thankful for things in your life, especially when you get to spend Thanksgiving on the beautiful Alabama beaches during the Run the Beach race series! Imagine eating Thanksgiving dinner on the balcony of a gorgeous beach resort laughing with family and friends and celebrating togetherness and wellness together on the scenic trails at Gulf State Park. What more could you want?

Did you know the holidays are a great time to visit Gulf Shores and Orange Beach? The weather is mild, the beaches are less crowded and the fresh air encompasses a mixture of sea-salt and sunshine! Hello, holiday vacation! November is also when the Vacasa Coastal Half Marathon takes place and is the kick-off race to the Run the Beach Series

The race is held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and is a 5k, making it a great race for the whole family. It welcomes all skill levels, and the route travels along the beautiful Gulf State Park Backcountry Trail system for an epic outdoor experience.
