Annual Plein Air Fairhope

Experience Plein Air Fairhope as artists take to the streets to capture the beauty of the area on canvas. From watching artists at work to viewing the finished paintings, the event offers several opportunities to enjoy local art throughout the week.

November 2–6 | Plein Air Painting
Artists will be painting throughout Fairhope from sunrise to sunset. The public is welcome to walk around and watch for free.

November 4 | 1 p.m. – Gallery Talk
Join Cory Wright, judge for Plein Air Fairhope 2026, for a lecture in the Whiting Gallery. Admission is $15.

November 6 | 6–8 p.m. – First Friday Art Walk Reception
Celebrate November’s First Friday Art Walk with live music and refreshments. Awards, including Best of Show, will be presented, and the exhibition will officially open to the public.

November 7 | 9–11 a.m. – Quick Draw
Watch artists create paintings in just two hours during the Quick Draw at the Eastern Shore Art Center and surrounding areas. Plein Air Fairhope artists may participate for free, while the public is invited to join in for a donation to ESAC. All ages are welcome, and a prize will be awarded to the 2025 Quick Draw winner.

Tuesday–Friday: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Eastern Shore Art Center’s community outreach efforts.
