3 Tips to Re-energize Your Events
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach
Sometimes it's important to take a step back and return to the basics of event planning. Taking a fresh look and fresh approach to your planning process can be just what you need to regroup, reorganize and re-energize your next event.

Beth Gendler, Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism’s vice president of sales, offers these tips for event planners bringing their meetings to Alabama’s white-sand beaches:
1. Be flexible with meeting space options. Consider out-of-the-box venues for your next destination meeting. While there are plenty of traditional meeting space options in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, you can really inspire big-idea thinking with wide-open spaces and views. Opt for a fun and unique venue for your opening session. It’ll set the tone for the remainder of your event.
2. Consider offsite activities. You may find you can keep your attendees’ attention longer when you mix things up with offsite activities like Gulf Shores golf or Orange Beach charter fishing. Add these activities to your pre- or post-meeting agenda.

3. Don’t forget the team-building exercises. You’re in a beautiful beach destination. Take advantage of the fresh air and scenery. Sure, you could limit your exercises to your event venue, but why not use that fresh air to energize your attendees? Have your team work together to maneuver a 53-foot catamaran on the back bays or Gulf of Mexico. Or organize a relay race on the Backcountry Trails, complete with bike riding and Segways. The possibilities are endless!
