A lot of Golf
One of the reasons visitors come back to golf on Alabama’s Gulf Coast year after year is the abundance of championship golf courses. Kiva Dunes golf course, located on Fort Morgan Road, is recognized all over the world as one of golf’s best and most unique challenges. Travel a short drive down Fort Morgan Road to Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club to play what golfers call the “most memorable and enjoyable” course in the southeast. You may just spot the “pet” baby alligator swimming around while you are there. Continue your beautiful drive with scenic beach views to Lost Key. This Arnold Palmer designed course features the new Sea Dwarf Paspalum grass from the tee through the green for the optimum in quality playing surfaces and green speeds. Head back to Alabama and cross the Intracoastal Waterway to the 36-hole Arnold Palmer designed Cotton Creek/Cypress Bend courses at Craft Farms. Both are challenging, yet playable courses. The lush greens of Glenlakes in Foley will leave you wanting more. Continue your journey north to Fairhope to see the why Rock Creek Golf Club elevation changes has earned this course a reputation of the “curiously coastal course.” Head over a few more miles to Spanish Fort and play the 18-hole course at Timber Creek Golf Club. Like we said, there’s a lot of golf!

When you take a break from the course, you can relax on the white-sand beaches, try a variety of watersports including parasailing, jet ski riding, fishing, boating and also enjoy shopping, ziplining and maybe you will be in town to catch some great music!
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are full of great restaurants and the area is known for outstanding local seafood. Fresh off the boat and onto your plate, this seafood can’t be beat! After a long day of golf head out for a spectacular dinner to try some of this cuisine at Cobalt Restaurant or Cosmo’s Restaurant and Bar and dance the night away at Live Bait, the local’s dive bar or try a bushwacker at Tacky Jacks.
