Aminah Robinson: Journeys Home, a Visual Memoir - Members Only Opening Reception

Celebrate the legacy of a true visionary. We are delighted to invite you to the opening of Aminah Robinson: Journeys Home, a Visual Memoir – Organized by the Columbus Museum of Art

Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson (1940–2015) was more than an artist; she was a storyteller, a historian, and a weaver of worlds. Using a blend of traditional media and unconventional found objects, Robinson created a staggering body of work that captures the soul of the African American experience.

This exhibition brings together her most profound works and words, spanning seven decades of creative mastery (1948–2012). This exhibition serves as a visual memoir – a compelling tableau rooted in historical research, folklore, and the artist’s own powerful personal narrative.
