GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism invites winter guests and locals to attend their annual welcome center lecture series most week days from Jan. 14 to Feb. 27. Presenters for the series include local artisans such as Tara Gifford from Blue Girl Beading and Maegan Bratton, historians from Fort Morgan Historic Site and Historic Blakeley Park, nature enthusiasts like Chandra Wright with The Lodge at Gulf State Park, and many more.
The series will begin at the Gulf Shores Welcome Center on Jan. 14 and the Orange Beach Welcome Center lectures will begin Jan. 21. Times and dates vary based on location.
“We are proud to be hosting the lecture series in our welcome centers for another winter season,” said Kim Chapman, director of hospitality and information for the CVB. “Our staff enjoys seeing the attendees leaving the lectures with a newfound appreciation and interest in what we have to offer here along the Alabama Gulf Coast.”
