Named “Attraction of the Year” by Alabama’s Tourism Department, OWA is the state’s newest major destination. Highlighting OWA’s 520 acres are charming Downtown OWA and the amusement-park thrills of The Park at OWA. OWA (oh-wah) is the Muscogee Creek word for “water” and is owned and operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. OWA is home to a host of annual events, fireworks displays and holiday entertainment. The Park features 23+ thrilling attractions; hours for The Park can be found at visitOWA.com/hours. Downtown OWA is an admission-free, pedestrian-only entertainment district, open daily featuring big names like Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, Wahlburgers and Legends in Concert. You can even stay the night at the award-winning TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Future plans for OWA include a luxury RV park, resort hotel and indoor water park, opening in 2021.
