Annual Shrimp FestivalCome to the island Oct. 13-16 for one of the most well-known fall festivals: The Annual National Shrimp Festival that's being held for the 45th year! After you play nine holes, stop by the festival for your fill of fresh, Gulf shrimp prepared just about any way you can imagine. Live music will keep you entertained while you check out the sights at this seafood-lover's event.

Oyster Cook Off at The Hang Out

Oyster lovers will agree the 9th Annual Oyster Cook-Off and Craft Beer Weekend at The Hangout can't be missed. Sample dozens of preparations of these decadent shellfish by top chefs from restaurants across the country. Kick off the weekend on Nov. 4 at the Craft Beer event with samplings of more than 60 beers from 25 brewers. On Nov. 5, the oyster action kicks off with cooking demonstrations and workshops. Check out the oyster shucking competition and the Bloody Mary Invitational. Tasting tickets are available for pre-order as well as the day of the event.

World Food ChampionshipsThe 2016 World Food Championships,  Nov. 11-13, is the newest kid on the block in Orange Beach. Pencil this foodie event on your scorecard and watch more than 400 culinary teams compete for cash and prizes.
