Gulf State Park features a new hike-in camp, the Outpost, located just off the Cotton Bayou Trail, part of the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail system. The raised, canvas-covered shelters have their own front porches and include cots. Just outside, you’ll find running water, fire pits, an outdoor shower and rustic bathrooms. The City of Orange Beach provides firewood.

At the Gulf State Park’s main campground you’ll find improved sites with full hookups, bathhouses, laundry facilities, a pool, tennis courts and a nature center.

Those traveling with an RV will have a resort-style experience at the many luxury RV parks in the area. Amenities include private casitas, pools, laundry facilities, clubhouses and more.

Bike Tour on Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail

Get back to nature outside the campground with trips to local wildlife refuges, pitcher plant bogs and nature centers all along our Alabama Coastal Connection National Scenic Byway. Or pedal through the outdoors on a bike tour of the Backcountry Trail.

Catch a limit of fish for supper at the Gulf State Park Pier or other waterways, and fry ‘em up fresh for supper. Or hop aboard for a fishing trip with one of the largest charter fleets on the Gulf Coast.
