Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores location offers a place for kids to play and a pool table for the adults in your group. Situated on the water, this popular joint features incredible food, tasty drinks, and live music, and is famous for its colorful duct-tape-covered walls. Let the kids partake in the Tacky Jacks tradition of writing their names on a piece of colorful duct tape and sticking it to the wall.

Local Tip: Ask your server for a strip of colorful duct tape. It’s a rite of passage for kids to sign their names and find a "secret" spot on the pilings or walls to stick it.

GTs on the Bay overlooks Wolf Bay on Canal Road, right in the heart of Orange Beach. Enjoy culinary creations such as a stone-hearth pizza, shrimp and grits, crab claws, and fresh catches. The pirate ship playground is a local favorite for kids, and the pier is a favorite among parents looking to sip a coastal cocktail. It's a win-win for all!

Local Tip: Check the giant indoor aquarium! It features local species from the bay, and the staff often lets kids watch during afternoon feedings.

The Hangout. Right on the beach, this beloved and iconic restaurant provides a sandy play area and many activities. There's ping-pong, foosball, a bubble machine, and plenty of space in the courtyard to play. Several bars dot the property inside and around the courtyard, and good meals will satisfy the adults in the crowd.

Local Tip: Listen for the DJ! Every hour, the "Bubble Machine" goes off in the courtyard, turning the sand pit into a soap bubble foam party.

Sitting on the water, The Gulf is one of the best family restaurants in Orange Beach. This beachfront spot boasts a unique, outdoor-only restaurant built from recycled shipping containers. All of the seating faces the water and is situated in the sand or on turf, making it a great place for kiddos to play. The Gulf also has an open-air gift shop filled with charming coastal home décor, toys, and clothes.

Local Tip: There is no traditional "hostess" here. You order at the window and find a couch or bench in the sand. It’s perfect for toddlers because they can wander in the sand right at your feet while you eat.
