Local Tip: Listen for the DJ! Every hour, the "Bubble Machine" goes off in the courtyard, turning the sand pit into a soap bubble foam party.

The Gulf also has an open-air gift shop filled with charming coastal home décor, toys, and clothes.

Local Tip: There is no traditional "hostess" here. You order at the window and find a couch or bench in the sand. It’s perfect for toddlers because they can wander in the sand right at your feet while you eat.

Picnic Beach

Picnic Beach

Located near the “T” in the heart of Gulf Shores, Picnic Beach is a “picnic-themed” restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and astroturf flooring. It’s a fabulous place to grab a bite to eat while spending the day at Gulf Place Public Beach. The kiddos will have a blast checking out the swings or playing Jenga and Connect 4 on the outdoor deck while the grownups enjoy handcrafted cocktails and fresh dishes.

Local Tip: Since the floor is turf, parents don't have to worry about the kids making a mess. Order the "Açaí Bowl" for a healthy cool-down or the "Smoked Tuna Dip" for a local favorite.
