2026 Annual First Day Hike

Start your new year off right with Gulf State Park’s Annual First Day Hike!

The hike will depart from the Orange Beach Sportsplex at 9:00 a.m., featuring a leisurely, 2-mile round-trip walk to the Butterfly Garden. 
This is a great way to get moving, enjoy time in nature, and meet new friends. Don’t miss it! 

Need to know info:
Upon arrival at the Sportsplex, proceed to the second parking lot. The trailhead is located under the wooden archway at the back of the lot, along the tree line.
