Excursion to the Bottle Creek Indian Mound Complex

The stunning Bottle Creek site, accessible only by boat, features 18 earthen mounds built centuries ago by Native Americans and was once of the largest communities in the Southeast. 

Meeting Location: This cruise leaves from Live Oak Landing, located on Hwy. 225, just a half-mile north of I-65 and about 15 miles north of the park. For directions, check the park's website or call 251-626-0798.  (Please arrive early to board for the cruise.)

Wear shoes suitable for hiking about a half mile, and bring snacks/water as desired. Please be aware if there are high water levels in the Delta which flood Mound Island, we may need to reschedule. We will notify all guests as early as possible in this event.
