Gulf Shores, AL
8am-3pm daily
(Except Oct. 11th - closing at noon)
Get an up-close experience viewing wild birds
as they are banded by federally-licensed experts!
While visitors look on, migrating birds are measured, weighed, and banded
by licensed banders. Some birds are briefly presented
for guests to photograph, while volunteers share species information
and answer questions. The birds are always safely released to complete their journey.
The event is free and open to the public, however,
Fort Morgan Historic Site (FMHS) charges an entry/parking fee.
Follow directions from FMHS staff to park, then cross street/follow BCA signs on foot.

Suggested items to bring: Easy-carry folding chair, bug repellent, drinking water,
food/snacks, sunscreen, sun hat, rain gear (if needed), and camera!
