After over a year of cancelled or postponed events, the fall event schedule for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach begins to regain a sense of normalcy

Bulls on the Beach Professional Live Bull Riding
Date: Sept. 9-11
Time: Gates open at 6 p.m.; Rodeo begins at 8 p.m.

Details: Three days of bull riding with professionals from around the country including junior and adult bull riding competitions take place right on the beach at the legendary Flora-Bama.
Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon & Tri-It-On
Date: Sept. 11
Time: Olympic distance race (triathlon) begins at 7 a.m.; Sprint race (tri-it-on) begins at 7:20 a.m.

Details: Brought to you by Gulf Shores | Orange Beach Sports & Events, the city of Gulf Shores, Brett-Robinson Vacation Rentals and The Hangout. The Olympic-length triathlon features a 1,500-meter Gulf swim followed by a 24.8-mile bike ride and 6-mile run along the scenic beach road. Those wanting to try a triathlon but are not quite ready for the real deal may register for the Tri-It-On sprint event, which includes a 300-yard swim, 12.4-mile bike ride and 2-mile run.

Alabama Coastal Cleanup

John L. Borom Alabama Coastal Birdfest

National Shrimp Festival

Original German Sausage Festival
Date: Oct. 30

Details: Benefiting the Town of Elberta Fire Department, attendees listen to German music while trying traditional German cuisine such as German style filled cabbage and 7,000 pounds of secret recipe sausage. Other vendors will serve potato salad, goulash, red beans and rice, hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue sandwiches, ice cream, popcorn and peanuts. Approximately 250 arts and crafts vendors will be onsite for shopping.
SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament

Bama-Q Grilling on the Gulf Steak Cook-Off Series
