What is Waterway Village?
Have you heard a reference to Waterway Village and wondered what it is or where it's located? Waterway Village offers visitors a unique downtown atmosphere along the Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf Shores.
On the banks of both the north and south sides of the waterway, Gulf Shores is transforming one of its most historic areas.
Waterway Village offers a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere with quaint tree-lined sidewalks, decorative lamp posts and inviting seating, welcoming visitors to dine, shop and play. The merchants of Waterway Village include Acme Oyster House, Gulf Coast Arts Alliance Gallery, LuLu's and Tacky Jacks.
Regularly scheduled events, including the Waterway Village Art Market, are held in the district. The art market is presented by the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance and features original art by local and regional artists, live musical entertainment and children's activities.
In addition, this spring, two unique events will be hosted at Waterway Village: Ballyhoo and the 2019 Waterway Village Zydeco & Crawfish Festival.
