Super Bowl weekend is always one of the biggest events of the year, and this year it will be extra delicious. Bring your appetite to Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar on Saturday, February 10, for the Super Chili Bowl Cook-Off. For just $20, you’ll enjoy many chili concoctions as contestants compete for the best recipe.

The family-friendly Mardi Gras celebrations kick off on February 10, with the Mystical Orders of Mirams and Mystics of Pleasure rolling down Perdido Beach Boulevard that evening. Then, don’t miss the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parades the following Tuesday. You’re sure to see decorated floats, festive costumes, and loads of beads!

Flora-Bama’s annual family-friendly I Pink I Can Run 4-Miler Breast Cancer Run takes place Saturday, February 24 at the iconic lounge and bar. Participants can walk or run the four-mile course to raise money for breast cancer detection, advocacy, and support services.

Head down to the Beach Club Resort for the Annual Fort Morgan Oyster Fest on February 24, and get ready to slurp down fresh oysters! Enjoy oysters from multiple local farms prepared in several ways. Not an oyster fan? Festival food will also be available as well as beer and cocktails for those over 21. The music stage will have live music all day, and over 40 arts and crafts vendors will be on-site for you to browse. Don't forget to practice oyster shucking before you attend the festival, so you can enter the oyster chucking contest!
