Hit the links, head to the brewery, or take to the water with Dad this Father's Day in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach!
Want to give dad a Father’s Day to remember? It’s easy when you’re in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach! Just think about all there is for dad (and family) to do on Alabama’s white-sand beaches. We’ve got six ideas to help you start planning.

Fishing
From the thrill of going after sailfish to cruising the back bays for the night’s dinner, the possibilities are endless for those with serious angler skills or just a sometimes fisherman. Grab a spot on a deep-sea fishing charter or drop a line from the Gulf State Park Pier. Either way, it’ll be fun to take dad fishing on his own personal holiday. It’s also something everyone in the family may enjoy.
Soar Above the Shore
Give dad a bird’s eye view of the spectacular Alabama Gulf Coast with a flight in a gyroplane. He’ll fly the aircraft with the help of an FAA-certified flight instructor from BeachFlight Aviation and experience the most unique gift of his lifetime. He’ll be outfitted with a headset and a helmet with a windscreen before flying a loop around the beach. Choose from 20-, 40- or 60-minute flights and dazzle dad with a one-of-a-kind experience.

Golf in Coastal Alabama
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are brimming with great golf courses that are not only located in beautiful settings but are also award-winning. In fact, four of our area’s golf courses recently landed on Golf Advisor’s Top 20 list of courses in Alabama. Dad will love playing a few rounds while enjoying the coastal breeze.
Hit the water
Rent a boat, kayak, paddleboard, jet ski or go parasailing. There are so many ways to enjoy watersports in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, and you likely won’t be able to fit them all in. Pick an activity that looks suitable for the whole family and surprise dad with an exciting adventure on the water.

Orange Beach Cat Boat Tours
Dad is only a safety briefing away from driving his own boat along the Intracoastal Waterway and back bays of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach (following a guide boat). Orange Beach Cat Boats are small and quiet with enough room for two passengers, and they sit low to the water for quick spotting of dolphins. Drivers must be 21 or older, and passengers as young as 5-years old are allowed. To ride along The two-hour guided tours leave from Caribe Marina in Orange Beach.
Big Beach Brewing Company
Take dad to Big Beach Brewing Company, a fun taproom and 10-barrel brewhouse in the heart of Gulf Shores. You'll join other craft beer enthusiasts at this indoor-outdoor alehouse featuring live music on the weekends. There are always 12 beers on tap, made in-house at the locally-owned brewery, and you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or order food for delivery.
