In Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, summer brings warm weather, beach trips, and endless fun at Gulf State Park!
Gulf State Park is the place to be this summer as the park is offering plenty of engaging programs and camps. Both educational and fun, these programs provide participants with unique learning experiences. Check out all the excitement happening at Gulf State Park this summer.
Camps
STEAM Camp
June 3-6 & July 8-11 from 9 am-1 pm
Ages 5-8
STEAMCamp at The Learning Campus is for children K-3rd grade and is offered once in June and once in July. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. This camp provides opportunities for campers to engage in all five of these topics through creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Art Camp
July 15-18, 22-25 from 9 am-1 pm
Ages 5-8
Let your kiddos explore their creative side at Art Camp at The Learning Campus. Each day, they'll create a new project in a variety of mediums, such as watercolor, polymer clay, decoupage, and more. They'll bring home so many new masterpieces to display around the house.
Robotics Camp
June 3-6 & July 15-18 from 2-5 pm
Ages 9-12
Kids in third through sixth grade who love to build with Legos will enjoy Robotics Camp. This camp allows participants to get innovative by putting together robotic creations with modular cubelets. Robotics Camp is offered once in June and once in July at The Learning Campus.
Aerospace & Structural Engineering Camp
June 24-27 from 9 am-1 pm
Ages 9-12
Bring your future engineers and space explorers to Aerospace & Structural Engineering Camp, where they'll experience hands-on projects like roller coaster designing, container home building, and heat shield design.
Oceanic Exploration
June 10-13 from 9 am-1 pm
Ages 5-8
If you've got a beach or animal lover in your family, they'll love Oceanic Exploration Camp. During their four days at The Learning Campus, they'll have a blast with hands-on projects and experiments as they learn all about our oceans and the creatures that call it home.
Gulf Camp
July 8-12, 15-19, 22-26, 29-August 2 from 8 am-12 pm
Ages 7-13
From biking and swimming to outdoor cooking and arts and crafts, there's something for everyone at Gulf Camp. During this five-day camp, participants will explore Gulf State Park through exciting activities and projects as they learn about the natural wonders of the Gulf Coast.
Programs
Shark Week
July 8-12
Head to Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier from July 8-12 for Shark Week. You’ll learn all about the sharks who live in the Gulf of Mexico through a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, educational programs, and a touch tank. Admission is $3 a day.
Programs at the Learning Campus & Nature Center
All Summer
Both the Learning Campus and Nature Center provide free programs all year long. These programs provide guests with educational presentations about wildlife, outer space, local history and more intriguing topics. You can also participate in guided pier walks that depart from the Nature Center every Friday. View their calendar to see what programs are currently available.
