1. Score Big Catches & Prizes
Calling all anglers! The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Labor Day Invitational is August 29-September 2 at the Orange Beach Marina. Participants will catch sailfish, blue marlin, wahoo, tuna, and other coastal species to score big and win even bigger. To register and learn more about the tournament, visit MBGFC's website.
2. Throw an Axe or Two
In the mood to try something new? Check out The Axe Hole at The Wharf, as this exciting spot offers tons of fun. Let loose and try your hand at hatchet throwing. All you have to do is throw the axe at the wooden target. After you're finished throwing, enjoy a game of cornhole or grab a bite to eat at any of the restaurants at The Wharf.
3. Relax on a Hammock Tour
Cruise through our stunning back bays while relaxing on a hammock with a drink in your hand. Located at the Caribe Marina, Hammock Time Tiki Tours offers two-hour, four-hour, and private tours aboard its 40-foot pontoon boat. The vessel is equipped with two double hammocks, a tiki bar, a bathroom, and shaded seating, so you can unwind and enjoy the ride. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks along with them.
4. Channel Your Inner Cowboy
If you're looking for a heart-racing, adrenaline-pumping event, head over to Flora-Bama for their annual Bulls on the Beach from September 5-7. This bull riding event brings professional bull riders from all over the country to our area to compete at this rodeo. The fun starts every evening at 8 pm, and the gates open at 6 pm.

You can't visit the Alabama Gulf Coast without traveling through the water. Kayaking and paddleboarding are the perfect activities for relaxing and exploring the natural beauty of the area. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach offer various places to rent and launch water vessels. Paddle through the calm waters in Little Lagoon or the backbays or travel out into the Gulf of Mexico. No matter where you choose to go, you'll have a blast experiencing the waters of the Gulf Coast.
6. Run, Bike, & Swim
This September marks the 17th annual Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon. Hosted by Brett/Robinson Vacation Rentals, this triathlon occurs every year on the Saturday after Labor Day. On September 7, racers will compete on the beach starting at The Hangout. This race includes a swim in the Gulf, a flat bike ride, and a breezy run. Grab your running shoes, swimsuit, and bike and join us on the racecourse.
7. Embark on a Bushwacker Tour
Craving a cold and creamy bushwacker? Book a bushwacker tour with Surfside Shuttle! This four-hour private tour takes you and your crew to four local hot spots in Orange Beach that serve the irresistible beverage of Alabama's beaches. 8. Take a Surf Lesson
Ever wanted to hang loose and ride the waves? Tambo’s Surf Shack offers private surf lessons for individuals and small groups. The crew will equip you with a board and teach you the basics of surfing. The cooler months offer the best surf conditions in the Gulf of Mexico, so September is a great time to learn the ropes and practice before the prime season begins.

Arena Next Level at The Wharf is the ultimate activity for those searching for an exciting and stimulating activity. 10. Fishing Tournament Fun
If you've ever wanted to participate in a fishing tournament but didn't have a boat, register for the Charter Boat Billfish Tournament at Zeke's Marina on September 5-7. This low-stress tournament is open to all anglers and registered charter boats. All you have to do to participate is register and book a charter. Even if you don't enter, you can still grab a delicious meal from Zeke's Restaurant and watch as impressive catches are brought in for the weigh-ins.
