Bird and Nature Expo

Come to 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center for the Bird and Nature Expo on Saturday, October 7, 9 am-1 pm. Free, fun, and family-friendly, participate in a variety of activities and exhibits hosted by local and state environmental groups, non-profits, and other agencies. Experience a raptor show, touch tanks, and various crafts. Learn about conservation and bird habitat, and more! Food trucks will be onsite.

For our second year, the event is not only the more centrally located venue to encourage participation from both sides of the Bay, but back by popular demand, there will be three FREE 1-hour boat tours! Boat tours depart from 5 Rivers, cruise around the bend to Meaher State Park, then back to 5 Rivers. Pontoon boat tours will be led by Mason Currier, a junior birder who leads birding tours for young birders in Coastal Alabama. Boat tours will be first come, first served and run at 9 am, 10 am, and 12:30 pm. 

Raptor shows by the Environmental Studies Center will be at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm under the outdoor pavilion.
