Drive in for a Fall Golf Getaway

Crisp mornings and mild afternoons are two ingredients for a great day of Gulf Shores golf. Fall is the perfect time to take your golf clubs out of the garage and use them for what they were intended. The Alabama Gulf Coast features more than 200 holes

of championship golf. Arnold Palmer, Jerry Pate, Bruce Devlin, Robert Von Haage and Earl Stone are just some of the names behind the design of the courses. You can play at the beach, near the bay or even near the woods and refuge areas.

Stop by Craft Farms and visit Cypress Bend or Cotton Creek and see the courses designed by Arnold Palmer. There are 36 holes of golf awaiting you here on greens that meander under scrub oaks and tall pines and greens that run beside Cotton Creek.

Travel down Fort Morgan Road and enjoy The Peninsula Golf Club, designed by Earl Stone and featuring 27 holes and numerous other amenities for golfers. Also off of Fort Morgan Road is Kiva Dunes, designed by champion golfer Jerry Pate.

The 18 holes of the Gulf State Park – Refuge Golf Course were designed by Earl Stone. The course features a full pro shop and grill. Another Earl Stone-designed golf course is Rock Creek in nearby Fairhope. Rock Creek boasts 18 holes set among natural rolling terrain and impressive elevation changes.

Wherever you're staying along the Alabama Gulf Coast, there's sure to be a golf course within driving distance, or for that matter, putting distance. Play just one or play them all.
