The miles of trails in the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge offer excellent views of birds flying overhead, as well as other coastal wildlife.

Catch Redfish

On Alabama's Beaches, October is known as "Red October" because it's the best time of year to catch redfish, one of the tastiest fish on the Gulf Coast. The cooling water temperatures bring schools of redfish into shallower, inshore waters. Fall is their spawning season, making this species hungry, aggressive, and thrilling to reel in. Anglers can cast off from the Gulf State Park Pier, the surf, or from an inshore charter to catch redfish on Alabama's Beaches.
