Hot Fun in the Summertime on Alabama's Beaches

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach

Are you heading down to the Alabama Gulf Coast for a sporting event this summer, either as a participant or a spectator? Once the event is over, what is there to do? The answer is: Plenty! The excitement will continue during the non-sporting events scheduled for the summer months.

Fort Morgan

History

The whole family will enjoy exploring the nearby historic Fort Morgan. From June 7 through July 26, the Tuesday Evening Civil War Tours will be presented (7-8 p.m.). For those in town on July 4, the Salute to American Independence will also take place at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. It will feature historical interpreters conducting guided tours on Independence Day between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Music

Those summer nights should be spent under the stars while the tunes from your favorite musician float through the air. Concerts on the Alabama Gulf Coast will be heating up the nights in June, July and August. Diamond sponsor The Wharf in Orange Beach boasts an amphitheater that draws the biggest acts in entertainment today. This summer is no exception, so check out who’s on the jam-packed schedule and buy your tickets now!
