Bring the kids to these Fun Restaurants
Finishing a great day on the beach after a day of fun doesn't necessarily mean leaving the sand behind for supper.
Several Gulf Shores and Orange Beach restaurants have sandy play areas just right for kids. Others have special programs and events with the youngsters in mind all summer long.
LuLu’s in Gulf Shores has a huge sandy area supplied with toys and even a rushing fountain for water play. For the real adventurers in your crowd, take on the Mountain of Youth ropes course. Also on site is an arcade loaded with fun games.
Adults will find frosty beverages – even in the arcade – shade and great food to enjoy while the kids are playing. LuLu’s is on the north bank of the scenic Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf Shores.
Right on the beach, the Hangout provides a sandy play area and lots of others activities. There’s ping pong, ring toss, a bubble machine and a mini football field in the courtyard. Several bars dot the property inside and around the courtyard and good eats will satisfy the adults in the crowd.
On the east boundary of Orange Beach, the Flora-Bama Ole River Bar and the Flora-Bama Yacht Club share a sandy shore on Ole River. Bring along the beach toys and turn the kids loose in the sand while you order dinner.
Across the road, the iconic Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar is right on the Gulf and has its own beach for good times.
Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores offers weekday lunch activities for kids and adults with live animal interactions, arts and crafts and beach games.
On Fridays stop by and grill your own oysters outside. Tacky Jacks will provide a variety of toppings to help you create your own special recipe.
