LuLu's Gulf Shores Fountain of Youth

Extend your sandy fun by visiting a Gulf Shores or Orange Beach restaurant where play areas are filled with sand and fun. Check out these fun spots for special programs and events with youngsters in mind all summer long.


LuLu's in Gulf Shores has a huge sandy area supplied with toys and even a rushing fountain for water play. For the real adventurers in your crowd, take on the Mountain of Youth ropes course featured along with a smaller Munchkin Mountain for the little tykes. Also on site is an arcade loaded with fun games.

Adults will find frosty beverages – even in the arcade – shade and great food to enjoy while the kids are playing. There’s even live music nightly! LuLu's is on the north bank of the scenic Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf Shores.

Right on the beach, The Hangout provides a sandy play area and lots of other activities. There's ping pong, ring toss, a bubble machine and a mini football field in the courtyard. Several bars dot the property inside and around the courtyard and good eats will satisfy the adults in the crowd.

Located where Highway 59 meets the beach, The Hangout offers two and a half acres of food, fun and relaxation.

Pleasure Island Tiki Bar

On the east end of the Alabama Gulf Coast in Orange Beach, Pleasure Island Tiki Bar at Sportsman Marina has a large sandy area to play and two cornhole games. Adults can expect views as nice as the food (fried shrimp baskets, fish tacos, chicken fingers and the legendary Tiki Burger) as well as popular cocktails like the Bushwacker.


On the east boundary of Orange Beach, the Flora-Bama Ole River Bar and the Flora-Bama Yacht Club share a sandy shore on Ole River. Bring along the beach toys and turn the kids loose in the sand while you order dinner.

Tacky Jacks


Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores offers a place for kids to play and a pool table for the adults in your group. Situated in the Waterway Village District, you’ll find great food and beautiful views. Sit inside or outside and enjoy a local favorite hangout that includes a kids menu as well as a great happy hour. Tacky Jacks also has locations in Orange Beach and Fort Morgan.


GTs on the Bay overlooks Wolf Bay on Canal Road right in the heart of Orange Beach. Bayfront dining provides the best in views for a unique restaurant backdrop. Enjoy culinary creations such as a stone-hearth pizza, Cajun empanadas, chicken carbonara and fish tacos. The kids will love playing on the Pirate Ship playground while mom and dad enjoy a craft beer. It’s a win-win for all!
