Fun Fall Events to Plan Your Trip Around
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach
Summertime isn’t the only time for a beach vacation. With the temperature dropping a little, the summer crowds thinning out, and fantastic events planned in the upcoming months, you’ll find that fall is a great time to plan your visit.
Here are some of the top events you can enjoy on your fall beach vacation on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Sept 7 – Sept 8
Bulls on the Beach
This action-packed bull-riding event features professional bull riders from across the Southeast. You can even test your skills on the mechanical bull…can you make it eight seconds?
Sept 13-Sept 15
The Wharf Uncorked Wine & Culinary Event
With more than 100 wine labels and fare from the Gulf Coast’s finest chefs, this is a fundraiser that is a win-win. Proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish Alabama.
Oct 11 – Oct 14
47th Annual National Shrimp Festival
The Gulf Coast has been throwing this party for 47 years. Musical acts all weekend long, shrimp and other seafood any way you could possibly dream of line the beach. It’s one of our most popular events, attracting more than 300,000 people.
The Original German Sausage Festival
This festival isn’t just about sausage. With arts and crafts, musical acts and a midway, this event has been attracting visitors from all over for the last 40 years. Fare includes German-style foods such as filled cabbage, goulash and a Bier Garten. This fundraiser has been headed by the Elberta Fire Department since 1978, and proceeds benefit the fire department.
