On your mark, get set, go! Whether you are a serious runner or prefer a more laid-back “fun run” event, there are plenty of races to choose from this fall at the beach. Run for a cause, a personal record, or just because you’re a fan of a good after-party – in all cases, we’ve got you covered.

Sept 1: 2018
Tacky Jacks Bloody Mary 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

This fun run winds through the Gulf Shores Waterway District and offers an after-party at Tacky Jacks!

Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon

This is the 10th year for this event as well as its little sister, the “Tri-it-on,” which is perfect for newcomers. The race is a 1.5k swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a 40k bike ride through the Gulf State Park and a 10k scenic run to finish the event. Pre-dinner, post-race party and awards ceremony are all at The Hangout.

T.E.A.L. There’s a Cure 4 Mile Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run

The Krewe of Vixens hosts this run to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer. Post-race food and entertainment provided by the Flora-Bama.

Shrimp Festival 10k and 5k Run

This race is almost as famous as the festival! First run in 1977, this event is for runners and walkers, and also includes a wheelchair event.

Kaiser Coastal Half Marathon in Orange Beach, AL

NJCAA Men’s and Women’s Half Marathon

Junior college teams from across the country compete in this half marathon championship that runs through the Gulf State Park’s Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail.

Kaiser Realty by Wyndham Vacation Rentals Coastal Half Marathon and 5k Run

Trot off that extra helping of turkey the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event is for all ages and consists of a 1-mile fun run, a 5k and a half marathon. Awards and post-race party will happen at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
