On your mark, get set, go! Whether you are a serious runner or prefer a more laid-back “fun run” event, there are plenty of races to choose from this fall at the beach. Run for a cause, a personal record, or just because you’re a fan of a good after-party – in all cases, we’ve got you covered.
Sept 1: 2018
Tacky Jacks Bloody Mary 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run
This fun run winds through the Gulf Shores Waterway District and offers an after-party at Tacky Jacks!

Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon
This is the 10th year for this event as well as its little sister, the “Tri-it-on,” which is perfect for newcomers. The race is a 1.5k swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a 40k bike ride through the Gulf State Park and a 10k scenic run to finish the event. Pre-dinner, post-race party and awards ceremony are all at The Hangout.

T.E.A.L. There’s a Cure 4 Mile Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Krewe of Vixens hosts this run to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer. Post-race food and entertainment provided by the Flora-Bama.

Shrimp Festival 10k and 5k Run
This race is almost as famous as the festival! First run in 1977, this event is for runners and walkers, and also includes a wheelchair event.
