34th Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival - November 8-18. Festival attendees enjoy an up close and personal concert experience and are often able to learn the stories behind the songs as told by the original author. 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Tarawa and Makin Island Living History Event at Fort Morgan. November 2-3 from 8am-5pm. The event will include WWII weapons demonstrations and living history programs sponsored by the Sgt. Foster L. Harrington Detachment #1449 of the Marine Corps League.

2018 Coastal Alabama Couples Classic Golf Tournament at Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club - November 8 at 4pm; November 9,10 and 11 at 9am. Couples golf package $1,200; individual golf package $600. This all-inclusive tournament includes three days of golf plus practice rounds, cart fees, breakfast and lunch daily, a welcome reception, a sunset cruise, two drink tickets per day and prizes.

Bellingrath Gardens and Home

55th Annual Fall Outdoor Cascading Chrysanthemums at Bellingrath Gardens and Home. November 10-21 from 8am-5pm. The nation's largest outdoor chrysanthemum show takes more than nine months to create. Hundreds of colorful, four-foot-long cascades of chrysanthemums are displayed on bridges and balconies and in baskets and containers throughout the gardens.

WWI and Fort Morgan's Military Role Lecture at Fort Morgan. November 12 from 2pm-3pm. General admission. Enjoy the photo gallery and lecture by Dylan Tucker on Fort Morgan's involvement in WWI, specifically training of the Coast Artillery, Trench Mortar Battalion, Gas Corps and field artillery.

Holidays at the Fort Tour and Gift Shop Open House - November 18 from 1pm-4pm at Fort Morgan. General site admission. Tours begin at 1pm and include a small firearms demonstration. Special holiday decorations and gifts will be on sale at the gift shop. Refreshments served in the gift shop from 2-4 pm.

Magic Christmas in Lights at Bellingrath Gardens and Home, November 23 through December 31 from 5pm-9pm. Admission: Gardens Only $15 adults; children ages 5-12, $7.50. Home and gardens $24 adults, children ages 5-12, $13. Stroll through a dazzling light display that features more than 1,100 set pieces, three million lights and 15 scenes throughout the 65-acre garden estate. In addition, the Bellingrath Home is decorated in its holiday finery and enhanced with beautiful poinsettias.
