Summertime is winding down and back-to-school is on the horizon. But, that doesn't mean activities have come to a halt in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. In fact, there are several fun events that will have you clicking the "Book Now" button for late summer trips to Alabama's beach communities.

Annual MBGFC Labor Day Invitational
The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Labor Day Invitational set Sept. 2-6 at the Orange Beach Marina has some big money on the line (including $25,000 in the blue marlin category). For entry fees, times, and other details, be sure to check the website.
Flora-Bama Bulls on the Beach
Looking for something different? Stop by Flora-Bama for the annual Bulls on the Beach bull riding event! This high-energy rodeo offers a look at professional bull riders from across the Southeast and guarantees to get your adrenaline pumping! The event is Sept. 9-11 and gates open nightly at 6 p.m. (starting time is 8 p.m.). And, for the bravest of the brave, ride the mechanical bull.
Brett-Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon
The Saturday following Labor Day always brings the Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon, complete with a Gulf swim and a fast, flat bike and run course! Sponsored by Brett/Robinson Vacation Rentals and hosted by The Hangout, this event is in year 14 and offers the perfect race setting with everything in one place. The main staging area, finish line, packet pick-up location, pre-race dinner and post-race party are all at The Hangout. Mark your calendar for Sept. 11 from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sweetest Chefs—an EATYALL Signature Event
Don’t miss this creative culinary event highlighting America’s top pastry chefs—Sweetest Chefs. On Sept. 17 beginning at 6 p.m., The Wharf will host this tasty evening reminding us all that it’s acceptable to eat dessert first! Indulge in the 6th Annual Sweetest Chefs event where you’ll find more than 20 desserts and have the opportunity to watch baking and sweets demonstrations. You can even vote for your favorites in the 2021 Sweetest Chefs Awards.
C Spire Concert Series at The Wharf
Fans of Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, and Bethel Music will enjoy this Sept. 2 concert at The Wharf Amphitheater at 7 p.m.
Chris Stapleton with special guests The Marcus King Band and Yola will be part of the C Spire Concert Series on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.
Gulf State Park Turtle Fest
Guests are in for a treat with this one-of-a-kind event: Gulf State Park Turtle Fest! The event is on Sept. 25 and admission is $3 per person. You can expect sea turtle educators, pier walks every hour, a sea turtle nest demo, a TED exhibit, a photo booth, sea turtle crafts and the Emerald Coast Kite Flyers. All of this fun and frolic takes place at the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier.
Fort Morgan Ghost Investigation and Historical Haunted Tour
Have you ever wanted to join in an official ghost investigation? This is your chance! Join Second Sight Paranormal TV for a ghost and paranormal investigation at one of Alabama’s most haunted attractions—Fort Morgan. The tour takes place Sept. 25 from 7-11 p.m. You’ll start with some background of the site and a Q&A. Ghost hunting equipment is provided or you are welcome to bring your own. Digital cameras and audio equipment is also allowed. You must make a reservation and admission is $45.
