1. Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival
For music mavens, there’s nothing quite like the Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival Nov. 3-13. VVenues along the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast welcome nearly 200 nationally-acclaimed songwriters from across the country for this event. Festival attendees enjoy an up-close and personal concert experience and are often able to learn the stories behind the songs as told by the original author.

2. Bama-Q TV: Grilling on the Gulf
Foodies won’t want to miss Bama-Q TV's Grilling on the Gulf on November 4-5 at The Hangout. Contestants from across the region will be competing to create the tastiest steak, fish, and bloody Mary's in this final showdown of the season.

3. 2nd Annual Sandcastle Showdown
Want an event where you can dig your toes in the sand? We’ve got the perfect one for you! Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar is hosting its 2nd Annual Sandcastle Showdown on Saturday, November 5. Ten local businesses will compete during this family-friendly event to see who can create the best castle. All money raised is donated to Clothe the Children, a local organization providing clothing to children in need in Foley, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach.

4. Coastal Alabama Couples Classic
Calling all golfers! Bring your clubs and sweetheart and get ready to hit the links this fall during the Coastal Alabama Couples Classic. You’ll get the opportunity to play on three of the area’s beautiful courses throughout the weekend of November 6-9. Golfing enthusiasts won’t want to miss out on this event!

5. Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show
Then, on November 11 and 12, the Pensacola Blue Angels will close out their flying season. You can catch their free Homecoming Air Show on nearby Pensacola beach at 10 a.m. on both days. Come by car or boat and see why people look up at the sky in awe every time these guys fly.

6. Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival.
Get ready for a weekend filled with fantastic food, lawn games, live music, and a whole lot of family fun at the Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival. On November 12-13, 20 of the best food trucks in the country will park at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores and offer up the very best cuisine. On top of all the great eats, over 30 craft beers from around the nation and region will also be available to try.

7. Experience the Oyster
If you love oysters, head over to The Hangout on November 19 for Murder Point Oyster Company’s first-ever Experience the Oyster event. This inaugural oyster tasting includes numerous oyster various farms and chefs creating their own unique oyster dishes for attendees to sample. You’ll also get an inside look at the oyster industry along the Alabama Gulf Coast.

8. Flora-Bama’s Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner
Share your gratitude and your best turkey day dish at Flora-Bama’s Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner! Flora-Bama provides the turkey and ham and encourages patrons to bring a covered side dish to share. So many wonderful meals will be shared. You’re bound to be stuffed after this event!

9. NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship
It’s not Thanksgiving without college sports! The NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship takes place from November 25-December 6 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Watch as these top teams from across the country battle it out on the field for the title of NAIA champions.

10. Coastal Half Marathon, 5K and One-Mile Fun Run
After you indulge in Thanksgiving dinner, burn those holiday calories in the Coastal Half Marathon, 5K and One-Mile Fun Run. Happening the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26, this is a fantastic way to run off all the turkey and sweet potato pie you consumed throughout the week! The race takes you through the scenic, peaceful and beautiful trails in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Gulf State Park.
