In June, when the water along the coast warm-ups, everyone from lovebirds to families gets out to enjoy the sights, smells, tastes and adventures of the Alabama Gulf Coast.
You’ll be amazed at how much there is to do from watersports and charter fishing to the many adventures in the sky such as parasailing, helicopter tours and ziplining. Or explore one of the many events in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
6th Annual Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo – May 31-June 2. Tickets are $45 for adults, and $25 for kids 12 and under. Kids can fish with the purchase of an adult-division ticket. May 31: fishing begins 12am; June 1: fishing closes at 7pm; June 2: 3pm awards ceremony. This fun fishing tournament awards anglers of all ages for their catch--from biggest catfish to largest billfish and everything in between. Enjoy daily weigh-ins with live music and great food.
Tuesday Evening Living History Tours – June 4-July 30 from 6pm-8pm at Fort Morgan. $10 per person. Historians and site staff, dressed in period uniform, will provide historical insights on Fort Morgan's history and the life of the people who worked and served there. Artillery and small firearm demonstrations will be given. Tours are weather dependent.
