2016 Gumbo Key Boat-In Concert Set for June 18 in Orange Beach
If a summer vacation to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach would float your boat, hook up the boat trailer, fill up the tank and head to the Alabama Gulf Coast in June. Held June 18, the Gumbo Key Boat-In Concert will be in full swing for music lovers, boaters and sun seekers alike.
Soak up the sounds of Southern bands beginning at noon, and plan to pull up anchor after 5 p.m. This year’s performers include the Wes Loper Band, Adam Holt Band and Lamont Landers Band.
Gumbo Key, a floating musical venue, will be located near the Perdido Pass bridge, on the east side of Bird Island and west of Ono Island. Gumbo Key is only accessible by water vessel. No boat? No problem. Boat rentals are available throughout Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

Mac McAleer, self-proclaimed mayor of Gumbo Key, has a few rules for the road. Well . . . water. Mac says:
1. Let’s all get along and behave.
2. Be safe and watch out for each other.
3. Take care of this gorgeous place and leave only your footprints.
4. Vessels, please steer clear of the protected grass areas.
5. Be kind. Be safe. Don’t leave a trace.
There is no cost for the concert. Gumbo Key is sponsored by Flora-Bama, Homeport Marina, Krispy Kreme, Legendary Marine, LuLu’s, Saunders Yachtworks, Tacky Jacks and Walter Marine.
