- Nature trails. Bring your bike and cruise The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail or hike the trails in the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge.
- Lake Shelby. Discover a whole different side of Gulf Shores, just steps from the beach. The 700-acre lake boasts swimming and picnic areas, as well as restroom and shower facilities. You can also bring your kayak or paddleboard and paddle your way around the lake. In addition, there is a boat launch located at the lake for boaters and anglers.
- National Museum of Naval Aviation. Just a short drive from Orange Beach is 375,000 square feet of museum exhibits featuring more than 190 restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation.
- The Hot Shop. Located on picturesque Wolf Bay, you’ll find it fascinating to watch a glass-blowing demonstration.
- SPECTRA Light Show. Visit The Wharf in Orange Beach for nightly lightshows set to music. The main street is blocked off, allowing families to navigate the street and watch the show.
- City of Foley Museum Archives and Model Train Exhibit. The young and young-at-heart will enjoy a tour of the model train exhibit in nearby Foley. Don’t forget to snap photos on the retired railcars just outside the museum.
- Orange Beach Waterfront Park. Bring your fishing poles and drop a line from the fishing pier, enjoy a picnic and even cook your lunch on the provided grills. A swimming area with a small sandy beach on the shores of Wolf Bay is also available. The Orange Beach Kids Park is located nearby.
- The beach. Of course, you can’t forget one of the top reasons you’re vacationing in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach! Spend the day enjoying the sun, sand and surf with 13 public beach access points. Be sure to educate your family on the beach flag warning system before your trip.
