Explore the Little Lagoon Trail

The Little Lagoon Trail is one of the four water trails along the Coastal Alabama Back Bay Blueway. This scenic trail is ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, and kayak fishing as it offers panoramic views and calm waters. Paddlers can enter the trail from three convenient launches for access to Little Lagoon in Gulf Shores. The lagoon is home to an array of local wildlife and sea life that can be spotted while on the trail.

Local outfitters offer kayaks, paddleboards, and gear for rent for those who don’t have their own watercraft. Many will drop off the rentals at your accommodation or desired launch point. Review each launch below for information regarding parking, cost, and amenities.

Kayak Fishers' Paradise

Three kayak launches provide easy access to this 10-mile stretch of open water. Located near the Gulf of Mexico, Little Lagoon is home to a vast diversity of salt and freshwater fish including trout, flounder and redfish.
