Wondering the best things to do, places to eat, and to see on Alabama's Beaches? We have all of those answers (and more) at our welcome centers. While exploring our destination or experiencing local events, you may see a bright and colorful hot pink van. That is our Beach Engagement Vehicle (BEV)! This vehicle is our mobile welcome center, so we can meet visitors at various locations throughout our community and answer questions about the area.

Hours of Operation

The Welcome Center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and weekends open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Is the Orange Beach location the official and only open Welcome Center for Alabama’s Beaches?

Yes. The Orange Beach Welcome Center is the official spot for visitor information about Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan. Alabama’s Beaches also has a mobile welcome center that travels to various locations throughout the area.

Is the Welcome Center open on holidays?

The Welcome Center is closed on holidays, including Fat Tuesday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Where can visitors park when they arrive at the Welcome Center?

There is free parking available at the Orange Beach Welcome Center for guests. Overnight parking is prohibited.

Is parking free or available for RVs and oversized vehicles?

Parking is available for campers, buses and other large vehicles at the Welcome Center. Overnight and long-term parking is prohibited.

What complementary services and information can I find at the Visitor Center?

The Welcome Center has free maps, brochures, coupon books, tide calendars, and visitor guides. Our knowledgeable staff is here to offer advice on restaurants, activities, attractions, and events and to answer any vacation questions you may have.

Is the Orange Beach Welcome Center facility wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The Orange Beach Welcome Center is wheelchair accessible, and handicap parking is available. 

Can I find information for both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach at the Welcome Center?

Yes. Our Welcome Center has information and resources for Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan.
