Want a great breakfast and coffee? Get over to The Southern Grind Coffee House in Orange Beach and enjoy some savory dishes to help you break the fast, or hit it at lunchtime for wraps and sandwiches to fill the empty spot in your stomach. The Pooch Porch outside is an excellent way to enjoy your meal and have Fido there, too. After eating, don’t forget to check out the gift shop with local, handmade and unique gift items.
A little farther down the road in Josephine is Pirates Cove. If the pirate-themed music on the website doesn’t pull you in, then the scenery and the menu will. Located on the north shore of Arnica Bay off of Baldwin County Road 95, the casual vibe at this waterfront dive can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or dinner seven days a week. Grab a sandwich, burger or chicken strips, onion rings and fries at this eatery that also welcomes pooches to its pirates’ quarters.
At the beach and want a great pizza? Try Gulf Shores’ Crico’s Pizza and Subs. There’s a lunchtime pizza, pasta and salad bar that’s inexpensive and filling. Crico’s Pizza and Subs has long been known as a great place to grab one of America’s favorite foods. Best of all, it’s just a block or so off of the main beach in Gulf Shores and close to souvenir shops.
