Enjoy arts and coastal charm at the first-ever Ballyhoo event slated March 5 at Waterway Village in Gulf Shores. The day-long event will feature performances by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the Queen of Ballyhoo contest, the Ballyhoo dance contest, live musical entertainment, a trackless train and petting zoo for children and some of the best seafood on the Coast. There will also be plenty of art to browse.
Find art that’s just your style at the 42nd Annual Festival of Art, March 12 and 13 in Orange Beach. Spend a day enjoying the performing arts, browsing fine arts and arts and crafts and feasting on coastal culinary creations.
Browse millions of dollars in boats and yachts at the 2016 Wharf Boat & Yacht Show March 17 to 20 in Orange Beach. The show will feature the largest in-water display of any boat show along the upper Gulf Coast.
Get your crawfish fix at the 2016 Waterway Village Zydeco & Crawfish Festival on April 16. There will be food, live music and even crawfish races at this free event.
Get your throwing arm ready for the Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party April 22 to 24 at the Flora-Bama Lounge. Food, fun and music abound at the greatest fish-tossing party around.
Look to the skies May 6 when the 12th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival takes flight over the skies of South Baldwin County. Balloon glows, carnival rides, food, music, and arts and crafts are just some of the activities you can enjoy at this high-flying event.
Catch the action on the sand when the country’s top-performing teams compete in the 2016 NCAA Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship, May 6-7, on the public beach in Gulf Shores.
