Spring Break Family Style
The beaches of Alabama are the ideal place for families to spend
their spring break. Our white-sand beaches and turquoise waters are made for sandcastle building, splash wars, pick-up beach volleyball matches and many other fun activities for the kids.
Our area offers a multitude of family-friendly dining options with waterfront views, children’s play areas and live entertainment throughout the spring months. There are also several festivals and events taking place during the spring that are perfect places for family members of all ages to enjoy together.
The cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach pride themselves on the beauty and condition of our beaches. As you explore our area, we want your family to experience the same safe and inviting experience our locals enjoy every day.
During your family’s vacation to our beaches, remember to Leave Only Footprints and follow these simple rules:
Dispose of all trash and garbage properly, and recycle all aluminum, paper and plastic products.
Avoid walking on vegetation, as they hold our dunes together.
Remove your tents, chairs and other items before leaving our beaches for the day.
Do not dig large holes in the sand. These holes can cause harm to beach-goers and the endangered sea turtles who nest along our beaches.
Note: Any personal property left on the beach one hour after sunset will be removed and disposed of by beach patrol.
Also, there are a few items that are not allowed on our beaches for your family’s safety. These items include glass containers, metals shovels, fireworks, loud music and vehicles.
We want all of our families to stay safe this spring break. Stay informed on beach and surf conditions by calling 251-968-TIDE (Gulf Shores) or 251-981-SURF (Orange Beach).
There is nothing quite like spending time with your family on the Alabama Gulf Coast, and we can’t wait to have you visit this spring. Plan your stay, today!
