Kids Gulf Discovery Day
Starting: 9:00 AM
Plan a day of summertime fun for the family! Learn about the wildlife and ecology of the Gulf Coast from a variety of environmental organizations throughout the region during Kids Gulf Discovery Day at Bellingrath Gardens and Home.
See the Environmental Studies Centers Raptor Road Show on the Great Lawn!
The Raptor Road Show features native birds of prey that have been rescued and rehabilitated at the ESC, a natural sciences education facility owned by the Mobile County Public School System.
The Raptor Road Show will engage and educate audiences about the behavior of red-tailed hawks, American kestrels, screech owls, barred owls, great-horned owls, Mississippi kites, and ospreys. Questions are encouraged!
Discover the critters of Mobile Bay with the Dauphin Island Sea Lab!
The Dauphin Island Sea Lab will set up their Discovery Hall touch tables during Kids Gulf Discovery Day. The displays are a great chance for budding marine biologists to learn about what swims and crawls in the Gulf of Mexico and on the Gulf Coast shores.
Admission to Kids Gulf Discovery Day includes entrance into Bellingrath Gardens for the day and is $15 for adults, $9 for children ages 5-12 and free for children ages 4 and under.
